Sorabora Wewa

Sorabora wewa is located in the Mahiyanganaya area in the badullla DistrictIt is a lake built during the reign of king Dutugemunu.

 There are many folk tales about this lake from generation to generation. the lake is formed by a tank bund built between two rocks. there is no bisho box here. The sluice is made of perforated blank stone.

This is a large feld cultivated around the lake. Freshwater fishermen also make a living from this lake.

I bathe in sorabora lake. There is fresh cold water in the lake. It is a very beautiful place.
